The Religious Life of St Thomas’ is deeply rich and provides our community with opportunities to connect with our School Vision and Mission and our School Motto (A Heart for Mind and Spirit). The Religious Life of St Thomas’ is best defined by its relationships and connection with the following interconnected elements:
Across the school year, there are special days and celebrations that we embrace as part of our Catholic Identity.
During the school year, students will participate in and witness liturgies, class and whole school masses, parish weekday masses, feast day masses/liturgies and weekly prayer assemblies. Through participating in the religious life of our school, students will be experiencing the presence of Jesus, which is the foundation of our faith.
Daily Class Prayer
As part of the life of each class, students participate in daily prayer. Teachers provide a range of prayerful experiences that connect with the Religious Education Curriculum, the Catholic calendar and the school theme for the year.
Weekly Celebration of Faith and Learning Assemblies
Each Wednesday afternoon, the whole school community comes together for a Celebration of Faith and Learning Assembly at 2pm. As part of this assembly, a liturgy is always shared.
Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11am, the whole school community stops and participates in a 5-minute Guided Meditation.
