Feast and Foundation Day

This Friday  marks an important day for the community of St Thomas' as we celebrate our Feast and Foundation Day. It was on this day in 1936 that Archbishop Duhig blessed the foundation stone for what is now our main school building. Prior to this building, the church verandah had been used since the school began under the care of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan in 1929. On Friday we will reflect on our school's rich history, with a sense of excitement for the future that awaits the young people in our school.

The day will be filled with rotating activities where the students will be placed in their house colours. There will be two groups for each house, these groups will move around to four different stations. These stations will incorporate our St Thomas' values of Faith, Justice, Compassion and Learning. We will also be including our school theme -Living Laudato si' - Care for our Common Home.

At 2pm we will celebrate a whole school Liturgy in the Church. Families are more than welcome to attend.

We ask that all students come to school dressed in their sport uniform and school house sports shirt.
