Year 6 students are transforming their maths learning with digital technology.

The Year Six Students are learning to use integers to represent points on a number line and in the cartesian plane. The students have been introduced to GeoGebra- this is a dynamic mathematics app that brings together geometry, algebra, spreadsheets, graphing, statistics and calculus in one engine.

The students have been engaging with GeoGebra to play Cartesian Plane Battleships. It was lovely to hear the mathematical language being used by the students throughout the lesson. This included integers, positive, negative, quadrants, coordinates and axis.​
