Principal's Welcome

It is my privilege to welcome you to St Thomas' Catholic Primary School, Camp Hill. St Thomas' is an inner-city school, on Yuggera Country, where 330 students come to learn every day.

Since the school's humble beginnings in 1929, we have followed the tradition of the Sisters of Good Samaritan of the Order of St Benedict and in doing so strive to be a community where our values of Faith, Justice, Compassion and Learning are lived out authentically by all members of our community each day.

The school motto, A Heart for Mind and Spirit, reflects the unique place St Thomas' occupies within the community. We are proud to be a centrepoint where students, staff, parents, the Church and local community connect.

At St Thomas' our dedicated staff are committed to the vocation of teaching, as they work with our students to reach their full personal, spiritual and academic potential. Our generous class sizes and strong academic program ensure that our students are known, supported and challenged during their foundational years of schooling. Our older students play a key role as Student Leaders in the school, taking on a variety of unique experiences and responsibilities to contribute actively to St Thomas' during their final year of primary education.

Our flexible learning environments are well-resourced and designed to enhance opportunities for collaboration and exploration. This is further complimented by a schoolwide 1-1 iPad program that assists students in developing important creative and digital skills for the future. The vast specialist program of Health and Physical Education (HPE), Italian, Digital Technologies and Visual/Performing Arts is attended weekly by all students from Prep - Year 6.

Our inner-city campus also boasts two ovals, a number of adventure playgrounds, as well as an indoor and outdoor multipurpose courts for the students to enjoy.

I look forward to welcoming you to our community and walking with your child as they reach their full-potential and develop a life-long love of learning.
